Their success is recognized nationwide because they proved that you can “fight city hall” – and win! We have sued the State multiple times, challenging their interpretation of Medicaid rules with one particular case making it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. READ MORESteve and Blake have worked hard over the years building a solid reputation as experts in their field. Over the past 10 years, Steve and Blake have developed a very successful Medicaid planning practice writing over $20 million in annuity premium in 2008 without once having to initiate contact with a potential client to solicit business. Now, they are ready to share their knowledge and experience in this area of planning with qualified Agents and Attorneys. “We are extremely pleased and grateful that that many of our clients followed our recommendations because not one of them has lost a penny of their investment dollars due to this market downturn.” – Steve Rainey
Simply stated, Medicaid planning is helping people who are facing the tremendous cost of nursing home care to reposition income and assets in such a way as to qualify them for Medicaid according to Federal and State rules. It comes as a surprise to many to learn that Medicaid for long-term care is an entitlement program that falls under Title 19 of the Social Security Act. It is no more Welfare than is ones Social Security payment or Medicare coverage. The main difference is that Medicaid is a “means tested” program, which requires applicants to meet certain income and asset tests.
A recent USA Today article titled, “What about long-term care?” reported that “just 7 million [seniors] have long-term care insurance” (Gleckman, 2009). According to Medicare.gov, “This year, about nine million men and women over the age of 65 will need long-term care. By 2020, 12 million older Americans will need long-term care...A study by the Department of Health and Human Services says that people who reach age 65 will likely have a 40 percent chance of entering a nursing home. About 10 percent of the people who enter a nursing home will stay there five years or more” (www.medicare.gov, 2009). The tremendously high cost of skilled care will cause this rapidly growing population to seek those of you who know how to protect them from losing their life’s savings. The market for this type of planning is exploding as the population ages, creating the greatest opportunity of our lifetime. As this is occurring, very few people nationally have developed the skills to help them. We will teach you how to not only serve this market but also increase your annuity sales significantly. We strongly encourage you to consider adding Medicaid planning to your practice/sales presentation. We are in an increasingly competitive market place, which makes it all the more important to give yourself every possible advantage to turn prospects into clients
During this 2-day event, we will cover the basics of Medicaid planning in Florida and examine various case scenarios to give you an understanding of how the Medicaid program is designed and how to properly arrange assets and income in order to meet eligibility requirements. Rules for Medicaid are complex and vary from state to state. We will team you with an Elder Law Attorney in your area to provide the legal work for the client as you handle the client’s investments. If you are serious about adding this area of planning to the your program, we will train you in a series of “boot camps” to help you obtain and develop the skills necessary to distinguish yourself as one of the few financial professionals able to provide this level of planning/service. If you are motivated, trainable, and ready to take your sales to a new level, call to 877-588-3030 for more information. We look forward to visiting with you!
